Even if you aren't one of my students, there are some great links for all drummers and musicians listed here. The internet is a great resource for learning about any subject, and if you want to stay current with the developments people are making on your instrument these links are a good place to start (at least for percussionists). Click the title of each bullet for the link.
- Vic Firth Website - The "Education" page here is packed full of great articles and videos about every style of music applied to the drum set. Additionally, there is a great deal of information relevant to concert percussionists.
- PAS Website FUNdamentals- Another great resource for drum set, mallet percussion, and other concert percussion techniques (timpani, cymbals).
- Drummerworld! - With a name like that, I think you know what to expect haha. Seriously check this out, many great performances and clinics/ video breakdowns of some very challenging material.
- Teoria- Any mallet players, or drummers who are ignorant about reading music or understanding harmony should look to this website for some great tutorials and hands on exercises to improve sight reading, ear training, and general musicianship.
